Conclusion

I think that's all. I hope you guys love my blog as I had put a lot of efforts in creating it. There were so many new things that I had learnt throughout making this blog.  I would to share with all of you guys my feelings and emotions during writing and creating this blog. So, read below.

-Source from Google

Life had been very hard and rough for me throughout this semester. For me it is the toughest semester compared to the other semesters. In fact, my life is like an ocean of endless problems. There were so many disappointments and problems that I had to face. I doubt if it is true that all of us never face any disappointments in this life. Everyone is going to face problems. So, one of the most important thing that I always kept in my mind is, being optimistic. Trust me it is very difficult for me to be one. Being optimistic is like you have to be positive all the time. Not everyone can manage to that. Even, I have to struggle with it. Another thing is stop complaining because it is not going to solve anything.

-Source from Google

Life is beautiful but not always easy. Life has problems and challenges too. Believe it or not all the difficulties are the things that make our life interesting and happier. They actually teach all of us how to appreciate life. You can expect everything to be easier. We all have to work in order to achieve something in our life. Do not give up till you get what you want in your life because it is worth it. Think about your future and don’t listen to others because you are the only one who is going to decide your future. Always think positive and stay away from all the negativity. Be prepared to face all the challenges in your life because I believe everyone will be able to overcome it. Studying is important but do not forget to enjoy your life. Remember that our future depends on ourselves not anyone else.

-Source from Google

To sum up, I strongly believe that everything is possible in this life. Everything depends on us.  You have to try to control yourself whenever you face challenges, problems, and difficulties in this life. Do remember that the most valuable lesson in our lives comes from bad experience and it is not worth it for you to give up. Do not simply say no for an answer, try first then you will know. There is no harm in trying right?

Parkour at the school??

1      Tempest Freerunning Academy

If you're more of a gym class sort of person, the Tempest Freerunning Academy is a parkour paradise run by the Los Angeles-based Team Tempest. Team Tempest is a group of professional freerunners who have done TV commercials and worked in movies. As the people in the States are more focused on their interests and believe that they should not force the youth to a specific type of learning, this school is perfect. The students are most likely to be athletes. They will learn their body strength and all sorts of self-defense and track sports.

Parkour is no longer consider as dangerous sport in this school. -Source from Google

Proving that parkour is not a negative thing, the staffs show the nation that some hyper active youths can be shaped and accepted by the society after all. They train and participate in sport competitions in the states. For me, this school is a good idea indeed because it serves the justice for the people that does not like to be stuck in the classroom and be told what to do all day. Instead, the youths that go here can dream of being professional athletes one day.

I also have provided you guys with a video on the Tempest Freerunning Academy Grand Opening. Enjoy watching guys :)

So, what do you guys think about the video?? As for me, it was AMAZING AND UNBELIEVABLE. How I wish I can jump like that. huhuhuhuhu not gonna happen lol.

Conciousness-based Education??

Maharishi School

The school's logo -Source from Google

The Maharishi School is a non-academically selective free school in Lathom, Lancashire, United Kingdom. The school takes its name from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and utilizes an educational approach called "Consciousness-based Education". It has been said that this school’s tuition is quite costly but it is worth it. Here, there are no boring theory classes but there are classes where the students learn to be a better human. The learning scope is done based on the students’ interests. To me, this school screams high standards and provides low stress environment which is the want and need of every student ever.

The students start and end the day with 10 minutes transcendental meditation. -Source from google

Following the mystical and trademarked techniques of transcendental meditation, pupils at the Maharishi School can learn to develop their powers of clairvoyance, invisibility, and flight. The differences among students are celebrated and not frowned upon. I would love to send my children to this kind of school someday. It looks like a great place to discover yourself and be a better citizen of a country.

Learning how to conserve energy??

         Terraset Elementary School PTA

-Source from Google

This school situated in Virginia, United States. The structure of this school is unique because it was built in the field and uses many solar panels and insulations. The students are taught about conserving energy appreciate the nature more. When Terraset opened its doors in February, 1977, the energy conscious design of the school was viewed as the wave of the future. There are even some visitors that came to Terraset from all over the world to see this experiment in solar power.

The other aspects of Terraset's energy conscious design continue to provide savings in energy costs every day. For me, this type of exposure is very useful for creating responsible youths in the future. Today, Terraset is the most energy-efficient school in the country. If our county is able to do this for every school, we would save a lot of electrical energy and use our money for other important things. But, that is less likely to do as the cost of building this also quite expensive.

School with brighter future??

School of the future
The school's logo -Source from Google

This school is funded by Microsoft. So, high technologies are not strangers to them. Located in Philadelphia, the school proves that traditional classroom is not needed anymore. Students can have private tuition and class sessions at their homes. Turn on the computer and connect to their school’s websites; that is all they have to do. Microsoft believes that by creating a school that appreciates technologies, they can help minimizes the uses of paper in the world.

The students are using smart desk provided by Microsoft. -Source from Google
It would also mimic a real-world workplace schedule with a 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. school day. I think they do so because they are very focused on training the students to be credible workers when they have grown up. Naturally, all students are trained in Microsoft programs, presumably making them good candidates for post-grad employment. What is really unique to me is that this school envisions an empowered and connected community where learning is continuous, relevant and adaptive. Truth be told, I am quite jealous of the students because their future is safe and sound while I still have to roam around and look for job opportunities. Oh well, what to do.. huhuhu.

Learning at a floating school??

Kompong Luong School

Kompong Luong (or PhumĭKâmpóngLuŏng) is a large floating village north of Krakor, on Tonlé Sap Lake in Cambodia. The students are not that many and half of them live at the school. This is because they are actually orphans. That is right. Apart from teaching the children, the teachers also take care of the orphans.

Kompong Luong School. -Source from Google

Just like the school inside a cave we have discussed before, this school also has become a tourist attraction. This is because most tourists are curious about their system and wondering about how they can help the orphans. Most of the children’s parents are fishermen and when they are studying in class, they practices fishing as well. The government there has organized an idea where the tourists can help better the children’s lives there by providing their arts and crafts works at the floating village. I would also want to go there if I have the chance. For me, this school will definitely attract the philanthropists from all around the world. Seeing their determination to study has given me the encouragement that I needed to be grateful of what I have now.

Tuition-free school??

-Source from Google
Hye guys, how are you guys doing?? Well, this is my 11th entry, I hope you guys will not feel bored when reading my blog. Do enjoy this blog people. There are three principles on which to build a school policy – fun, safety and emotional development. These policies are the main things valued by this school. Located in New Mexico, this school is tuition-free. The teachers there focus on creating a safe environment and encourage their students to be free-spirited. The school has a standard of general education subjects, but especially children are taught in her interaction with the outside world and everyday life skills: sewing, cooking and gardening.

The students are also learning about gardening. -Source from Google
Teacher students jokingly call “little gardeners.” And no wonder: in the school planted hundreds of trees, which must be taken care of. Kids eat organic fruit, which themselves have grown. To me, exposing children to calm environment like this will help them to feel safe and compassionate about everything they do in life. Also, I have a feeling that this school might have the least aggressive behaviors of their students. This is a positive example towards other schools as well.

Korea's awesome school??

-Source from Google
The International School of Busan opened in September 1983 with seven young pupils in kindergarten and elementary school, and two teachers. This school is built to educate the children of the expatriates there. As one of Asian countries that seldom uses English as their main language, South Korea managed to turn this around and make sure all foreigner students to adapt to Korean language. This school might have the most ethnics from the faculty staffs to their students. The staffs hail from The USA, Canada, The UK, Spain, Australia, The Philippines, Korea, Ireland, New Zealand, Chile, Venezuela, Japan, South Africa, and Singapore.

Student extracurricular activities include student government, A/V club, e-club, publications, social activism, athletics, service clubs, the performing arts, overseas trips, after school programs, sports teams, music events, model UN, drama, and environmental clubs. In my opinion, their government has done something that is quite impossible by uniting people and making sure that they adapt to the language and culture as well.

Studying in snow??

KENELEKEN SCHOOL
This is the picture of the school. -Source from Google
Keneleken is a nomadic school and it is located in Yakutia, Russia. In the past, the children of nomadic herders or did not receive formal education or were forced to stay in boarding schools, and for months to see family. Thus, their government has decided to provide schools for the youths there. They have come to point where they realized that these youths can study and be better versions of themselves. Cold weather is not an excuse for these people. They build TENTS to be used as classes. They also managed to have INTERNET CONNECTION there which for me is quite impressive. VERY IMPRESSIVE RITE??
This is how the classroom look at the school. -Source from Google
The number of students is not that many but it is their efforts that count, right? However, despite the small numbers, then they will be little to give to their peers who were lucky to learn in more stable conditions. Most of the youths there are the children of reindeer herders. If people in this condition still have the effort to go to school, we should not complain about having to go to ours at all. Despite of the lacking of the facilities, the students there are still enjoying their lessons.

A cave school??

Dongzhong Cave School
One of the classroom at  Dongzhong Cave School. -Source from Google

Literally like its name here, this is a school inside a cave. Like seriously? Yupp, very weird right? This school is so unusual that it has become one of tourist attractions in China. Dongzhong cave school is situated in a Miao village within the Ziyun County. The school, which was built in 1984 and caters for just fewer than 200 students, is considered to be ‘a teaching branch for nearby resident units’.Guizhou is one of the poorest provinces in China. Water and food shortages due to massive desertification and drought have left the region often struggling to keep its people alive. These shortages have also translated to education, leaving many children without a schooling option.

Even though they are living in a difficulty, they still manage to go to school to study. -Source from Google

For me, this type of school is very inspiring. Why? These people mostly lost their homes and loved ones but they do not stop studying in hope of having brighter futures. They might not have the facilities that we have but they definitely make the most of it. They are very grateful for every little things that they have. Not like us at all as we always complaining about everything.

School with no tests or grades??

Conflicts, eh? ALWAYS fight with your friends? Well not in this school. ALPHA Alternative School is located in Toronto, Canada. Just like its name, this school is famous for providing alternatives to not only children but the teachers and parents as well. It was created by parents, and based on the Ontario government's Hall-Dennis Report. As the usual school, it has classes and study periods. But, the unique aspect about this school is that it was started with NO TESTS OR GRADES. How awesome is that right??
One of the teachers was playing guitar while teaching the students in the classroom.

Yes, they learn each day, get together and share opinions. To make it fair, the behavior rules for this school were created and enforced by students and staff democratically. If they found anything that is unsettling, they do not break out a fight. Instead, they create a committee that involves children, teachers and parents to talk and find solutions for their problems. Here, every voice is considered valuable. I think that this is definitely a good idea. For me, when people are given a chance to talk and express what they feel, they will be less aggressive towards each other.

Creating your own rules??

-Source from Google
Sick of having to follow strict rules? Sick of being told what to do? Then, fear not because Burgess Hill School, England is the school for you. Well, especially if you are a girl. Burgess Hill School for Girls is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged between 2.5 and 18 years.

In 1906, Miss Beatrice Goode decided to open up a school because the demand of parents and the Women Committee. She believed that girls deserve education as well. Their motto is "I am, I can, I ought, I will". Apart from studying, the girls are taught to be open minded and be free to choose and express their desires. In results, smoking in classes, bringing dogs to school and riding motorcycle around the school are not seen as crimes there. As long as the students studies and improve their achievements, they are free to do what they want. Talk about a stress-free environment!

Hands-on experiences??

Watershed School

This proves that the United Stated could be one of the countries that hold many versatile schools in the world. Situated in state of Colorado, this school values the weather by focusing in outdoors activities rather than spending time jailed in classrooms. The Watershed School focuses primarily on the wonders, enjoyment, and fascinating science of the natural environment as an action-based response to the negative messages inherent in curriculum that focuses heavily on topics of environmental destruction. To them, outdoors activity will provide immediate experiences for the students. There, the teachers make themselves as involved with the activities as they can. For example, they play Frisbees, clean the field and doing experiments using the nature products. For me, I think that this type of school is definitely the one to choose if you are up for hands-on experiences to prep yourself for your future jobs.

Studying at Disney World??

1.      Walt Disney Elementary

One of my favorite things to do when I was a little kid was, watching Disney cartoons. I would also dream that I will have the chance to go to Disney World, someday. Until today I still don't have the opportunity to visit the place. NO MONEY HUAAA....Every time I hear the word Disney, I would think of everything whimsical, colorful and happy looking characters and places.

Little did I know that, a school called Walt Disney Elementary. Apparently in 1954, children at the public elementary school in Levittown, Pennsylvania were given the opportunity to name their school after a public figure. The kids chose Walt Disney. When Disney got word of it, he sent artists to decorate the school accordingly. Half a century later, it’s still Disney-ified, with classrooms and hallways devoted to Disney characters. Just imagine studying in a cheerful place like that!

Classes are optional??

This is definitely the kind of school that I think anyone would not mind to attend. BFS was the first democratic school to open in New York City in 30 years. It is a departure from what we have come to expect from schooling and education. BFS is a model of direct democracy, inclusion, diversity and equality. The state build this school based on an inspiration adopted from A. S. Neill’s Summerhill School in England. Traditionally, I would not put the word ‘school’ and ‘fun’ at the same time but after reviewing this school, I would say that this school is definitely the definition of fun. There, the students can be teachers and classes are optional. Like seriously?? OPTIONAL!! They can get together and share experiences and knowledge that they had learn from somewhere else. How awesome does that sound, right? VERY AWESOME. I would love to attend this kind of school if you ask me.

From the picture we can see that the students are having a sharing session together with the teachers. With this kind of activity, I am sure that the students will be able to improve their communication skills as well as their confident level.

Working with tools??

1   Tinkering School
The School's motto. -Source from Google

Why would any parents send their children to learn how to work with tools? Why? Are they out of their mind??  Well, Mr. Gever Tulley had a different idea about this. Unlike us, people in the United States are given the right to choose the type of education they want before growing up. They are so lucky…rite?? Yes they are. Tulley’s idea is not something out of a joke because he really takes everything seriously when he said that he wanted to provide children real tools to solve real problems in the real world. I would say that it is very special because for children that do not like to learn theories after theories in schools, they will be taught to enhance their technical and problem solving skills. The learning scope includes learning how to use chainsaw, how to build electrical and wood models and learning to fix and improve the things around us.

The school gives the students to experience using machine. -Source from Google
