School with no tests or grades??

Conflicts, eh? ALWAYS fight with your friends? Well not in this school. ALPHA Alternative School is located in Toronto, Canada. Just like its name, this school is famous for providing alternatives to not only children but the teachers and parents as well. It was created by parents, and based on the Ontario government's Hall-Dennis Report. As the usual school, it has classes and study periods. But, the unique aspect about this school is that it was started with NO TESTS OR GRADES. How awesome is that right??

Yes, they learn each day, get together and share opinions. To make it fair, the behavior rules for this school were created and enforced by students and staff democratically. If they found anything that is unsettling, they do not break out a fight. Instead, they create a committee that involves children, teachers and parents to talk and find solutions for their problems. Here, every voice is considered valuable. I think that this is definitely a good idea. For me, when people are given a chance to talk and express what they feel, they will be less aggressive towards each other.
