Sick
of having to follow strict rules? Sick of being told what to do? Then, fear not
because Burgess Hill School, England is the school for you. Well, especially if
you are a girl. Burgess Hill School for Girls is an independent day and
boarding school for girls aged between 2.5 and 18 years.
In 1906, Miss Beatrice
Goode decided to open up a school because the demand of parents and the Women
Committee. She believed that girls deserve education as well. Their motto is "I
am, I can, I ought, I will". Apart from studying, the girls are taught to
be open minded and be free to choose and express their desires. In results,
smoking in classes, bringing dogs to school and riding motorcycle around the
school are not seen as crimes there. As long as the students studies and
improve their achievements, they are free to do what they want. Talk about a
stress-free environment!
