The
International School of Busan opened in September 1983 with seven young pupils
in kindergarten and elementary school, and two teachers. This school is built
to educate the children of the expatriates there. As one of Asian countries
that seldom uses English as their main language, South Korea managed to turn
this around and make sure all foreigner students to adapt to Korean language.
This school might have the most ethnics from the faculty staffs to their
students. The staffs hail from The USA, Canada, The UK, Spain, Australia, The
Philippines, Korea, Ireland, New Zealand, Chile, Venezuela, Japan, South
Africa, and Singapore.

Student extracurricular activities include student
government, A/V club, e-club, publications, social activism, athletics, service
clubs, the performing arts, overseas trips, after school programs, sports
teams, music events, model UN, drama, and environmental clubs. In my opinion,
their government has done something that is quite impossible by uniting people
and making sure that they adapt to the language and culture as well.
